Rock Angel is a premium rosé wine produced by Château d’Esclans in the Côtes de Provence, France. It’s made from a blend of Grenache, Rolle (Vermentino), Cinsault and occasional touches of Syrah and Tibouren. Fruit tends to come from higher vineyards (including older vines), and winemaking includes partial oak fermentation and ageing in large oak barrels (demi-muids) to add texture. The style is richer and more complex than the more widely known Whispering Angel, designed to be food-friendly with more depth, minerality, and elegant structure. It has an alcohol by volume of about 13.5%.

Tasting Notes:
  •  Appearance: Pale rose-pink with subtle coral/golden hues; luminous and clear in the glass.
  •  Aroma: Delicate red berry notes—strawberry, raspberry—with floral hints; subtle spice and oak influence; underlying flinty/mineral character.
  •  Palate: Creamy texture from oak contact; flavours of fresh red berries, melon, perhaps white peach; balanced acidity; soft oak and vanilla undertones; a crisp, mineral-tinged backbone.
  •  Finish: Long, silky and elegant; fruit lingers with mineral and oak spice; fresh but refined end.
  •  ABV: 13.5%

Serving Suggestions:
Serve well chilled (~ 8-10 °C) in a large wine or rosé glass. Excellent with seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, fresh salads, or light poultry. Also makes a sophisticated apéritif. It pairs well with food that has both freshness and subtle richness—think herby dishes, creamy sauces, or vegetarian fare with texture.
