Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is a premium cognac from the House of Rémy Martin, produced in the Cognac region of France. It is a “Fine Champagne” cognac, meaning the eaux-de-vie used are sourced from both Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, with a fair portion coming from Grande Champagne, which gives it strong aging potential and refined character. Created in 1997 to celebrate the royal decree granted to the house in 1738 by King Louis XV — the “Accord Royal” — this cognac is aged in toasted French oak barrels, some of which are heavily toasted, giving it richer wood influence. While there is no specific age statement, the blend is composed of eaux-de-vie with vintages up to ~20 years old. It has an alcohol by volume of 40%.

Serving Suggestions:
Best enjoyed neat in a tulip or snifter glass to appreciate the depth. Optionally with a drop of water to open up aromas. Also delicious over one large ice cube. Pairs well with dark chocolate, rich desserts, and strong cheeses. Works in elevated cocktails like a Cognac Sidecar, or simply with a twist of orange peel.
