Mateus Rosé is a medium-sweet, lightly sparkling rosé wine from Portugal, first introduced in 1942. It is produced by Sogrape and made to be an easy, festive wine — pale in colour, youthful, and meant for casual occasions. It has light effervescence, modest alcohol strength, and bright fruit character rather than oak influence or heavy structure. Because of its approachable sweetness and joyful profile, it’s popular for social drinking and pairing with lighter fare.
