KWV Classic Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine from the Western Cape region of South Africa. Made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, it is matured partly in oak (mostly French, some American) for several months to balance fruit with structure. It is rich, well-structured and broadly available, offering good value.

Appearance: Deep ruby to garnet red with a slight purple hue.

Aroma: Blackcurrant (cassis), dark cherry, raspberry, with herbal hints (fynbos), cedar, cigar box oak and subtle spice.

Palate: Full-bodied; rich dark berries, plums, a touch of vanilla and oak tannins; moderate acidity giving balance.

Finish: Long and lingering; fruit and oak fade gradually, with a dry, slightly spicy aftertaste.

Serving Suggestions:
Serve at about 16-18°C. Pairs well with grilled red meats (steak, lamb), hearty casseroles, tomato-based sauces, and aged cheeses. Also enjoyable on its own after decanting for 30 minutes.
