Leopard’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a red blend from South Africa combining roughly 60-85% Cabernet Sauvignon with 15-40% Merlot. The wine is made in a “New World, gently wooded” style: partly oak-aged (French oak staves or barrels) for 8-12 months, allowing the fruit to remain vibrant while gaining structure and spice from oak. Vineyards are sourced from Swartland, Stellenbosch and occasionally Franschhoek, benefiting from warm sun and cooling influences that help balance acidity and ripeness. It’s designed to be approachable yet satisfying — ideal for casual to semi-formal settings.
