Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire (often called “Jack Fire”) is a flavored whiskey from the famous Jack Daniel’s distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. It’s a blend of their Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey with a proprietary cinnamon liqueur. The whiskey is first charcoal-mellowed (via the Lincoln County Process) and aged in American oak barrels before being blended with intense cinnamon flavour. Introduced broadly in early 2015 after a limited release, it is bottled at
35% ABV.
Tasting Notes:
-
Appearance: Bright amber with golden tones; slightly reddish glow under light.
-
Aroma: Strong cinnamon spice up front, like “red-hot” candy, with vanilla, oak, light caramel sweetness, and a warm baked goods scent.
-
Palate: Sweet and warmly spicy, the cinnamon comes through boldly; underneath you get the characteristic vanilla, oak, and soft toasted notes of the Jack Daniel’s whiskey base.
-
Finish: Medium length; lingering cinnamon heat, sweet warmth, and a mellow echo of whiskey wood and vanilla.
-
ABV: 35%
Serving Suggestions:
Serve chilled or over ice to balance the heat. Great as a shot for quick cinnamon impact or mixed into cocktails where spice is welcome (e.g. with apple cider, cola, ginger beer). Garnish with a cinnamon stick or a twist of citrus for contrast. Also works in layered shots, or in warm drinks during colder evenings.
